" Democracy was
also a great narrative and not merely a monolithic kind of democratic participation."

An archive of the print culture of Dalit communities, ranging from the colonial to the contemporary time, is in the process of being set up. The writings, publications, newspapers, magazines, pamphlets published during the colonial period are being gathered from the personal collections of the people and the old libraries situated in the region. In addition, contemporary materials in the form of poetrys, stories, biographies, narratives, etc written by the Dalit popular writers also form a part of the archive.
